Townsend leads Titleist to 1-2-3 Finish at the NSW PGA Championship in Wollongong

NSW PGA Championship:
November 23, 2009 - It was a Titleist golf ball sweep at the Cellarbrations NSW PGA Championship, where Aaron Townsend (Pro V1x) shot four consecutive rounds in the 60s to finish at 21-under 259, four clear of Michael Wright (Pro V1x) and Scott Arnold (Pro V1x). The victory was the second career Australasian Tour title for Townsend. Titleist players occupied the top eight positions on the leaderboard and 10 of the 11 that finished among the Top 10 and ties. Titleist was their preferred golf ball choice at the event with 119 players (82%), more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 11.

Queensland Open:
November 2, 2009 - Andrew Bonhomme (Pro V1x) captured the Laurance Scrap Metal WA PGA Championship at Bunbury Golf Club in Western Australia. It was a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist with David Diaz (Pro V1x,) and Hamish Robertson (Pro V1) tied for second, one shot back. A total of 105 players (80%) in the field of 131 relied upon Titleist as their ball of choice, more than 13 times the nearest competitor with 8. Bonhomme topped a leaderboard that included 7 of the top 10 finishers.

West Australian Open:
October 26, 2009 - Rookie Michael Curtain (Pro V1x) captured the John Hughes Geely WA Open, posting a final round 5-under 67 for his first Australian PGA Tour victory. Curtain's 16-under 272 total was four shots clear of his nearest competitor, a three-time champion. Adam Blyth (Pro V1x), Steven Jones (Pro V1x) and Anthony Brown (Pro V1x) were among four players who tied for third place. The win grants the 30-year-old Curtain entry into the Australian Masters and the Australian Open. A total of 124 players in the field, or 80 percent, relied upon Titleist golf balls at the event.

*Volvo China Open:
April 20, 2009 - Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Strange rallied on the back nine to post a final round 4-under 68 at the Volvo China Open, securing a one-stroke victory. Strange began his final round four strokes off the pace, but three back-nine birdies gave him the winning total of 8-under 280. It marks the second career victory for Strange, who won first time at last year's Celtic Manor Wales Open. *New Zealand Open:
March 16, 2009 - Alex Prugh relied upon his New 2009 Pro V1x golf ball to fire a blistering final-nine 30 that contributed to a closing 8-under 64, and a three-shot win at the Michael Hill New Zealand Open, an event co-sanctioned by the Australasian Tour. It marked the first career victory for the 24-year old, who raced past the international field to finish at 19-under 269 on the Nationwide Tour's final stop of a three-tournament swing Down Under. Rookie Martin Piller, the 54-hole leader, made it a 1-2 New 2009 Pro V1x golf ball finish, as he posted a final round 4-under 66 to place solo second at 16-under. Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Michael Hill New Zealand Open with 108 players (69%), compared to 14 for the nearest competitor. Titleist was also first in iron sets (49), wedges (150) and putters (50).

March 2, 2009 - Alistair Presnell (Pro V1x, 909H, ZM irons, Vokey Design pitching and sand wedges, Spin Milled lob wedge) birdied the final hole to edge fellow Australian and longtime Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter O'Malley (Pro V1x, 909D2 driver, 906F2 3-wood, 909H hybrid, ZB irons, Spin Milled pitching, sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Newport putter) by one shot to win the Moonah Classic. Presnell closed with a 4-under 68 to finish at 9-under 279 at the event sanctioned by the Nationwide and Australasian tours, and earned full Nationwide Tour status for the rest of the season. Presnell topped a leaderboard that included Titleist golf ball players among each of the top seven finishers. Titleist Brand Ambassador Michael Sim (New 2009 Pro V1x, 905R driver, 906F2 3-wood, AP2 irons, Vokey Design pitching, sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Xperimental putter) was third, three strokes behind, followed Skip Kendall (New 2009 Pro V1), Daniel Summerhays (New 2009 Pro V1x), Terry Pilkadaris (Pro V1) and Adam Bland (Pro V1x).

February 2, 2009 - Titleist Brand Ambassador Ashley Hall (Pro V1x) kicked off the 2009 Australasian PGA Tour season with a victory at the Subaru Victorian Open. The 25-year old shot a final round 2-under par 69 to finish at 10-under 274, two clear of his closest pursuers. Of the 15 players who finished tied for 10th place or better, 13 trusted Titleist for their success. Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Subaru Victorian Open with 123 players (79%), more than 13 times the nearest competitor with 9.
