#1 AT THE AUSTRALIAN AMATEUR

Champion Trusts Pro V1 Golf Ball, 14 Titleist Clubs in Historic Double Victory.
More Players in Field Trust Titleist Across Every Major Equipment Category.

March 27, 2010 - It was an all-Titleist final at the 2010 Australian Amateur Championship, with the winner trusting the Pro V1 golf ball and 14 Titleist golf clubs in becoming the first player since 1999 to win both the Australian Stroke Play and Amateur titles in the same year. “This is the greatest thing in my amateur career so far and it’s been a huge week,” the winner said.

The Winner's Bag: Pro V1golf ball, 909D3 driver, MB irons, Vokey Design wedges, Vokey Design Spin Milled lob wedge, Scotty Cameron putter.

Titleist Tops Equipment Counts:

As the country's top amateurs gathered at Lake Karinyup Country Club and Mt Lawley Golf Club in Perth, WA, competing for the coveted national championship, 169 players, or 71 percent of the field of 237, made Titleist their overwhelming #1 golf ball choice. That is compared to just 44 players, or more than 3 times, the nearest competitor.

The Australian Amateur continued the golf ball momentum Titleist has enjoyed on the 2010 PGA Tour and across all of the worldwide professional tours, to the PGA Professionals Championship, and at every level of competitive amateur golf.

In addition to being the top choice in golf balls at the Australian Amateur, Titleist was the tee-to-green favorite across every major golf club category. From drivers, fairway metals and hybrids, to iron sets, wedges and putters, no less than 50 percent of the field in any major equipment category placed their trust in the superior performance and consistency of Titleist equipment at one of the most prestigious individual events in amateur golf. The Australian Amateur marks the latest in several high profile amateur championships this year where the trust and confidence in Titleist golf equipment has never been stronger.
