Titleist Loyalist and PGA Golf Professional Josh Marris is aiming to play 10 rounds of golf in 24 hours at Victoria Park Golf Complex on Friday 23 September in aid of the Queensland Institute of Medical Research

QIMR is a charity Josh holds very dear to his heart. Josh tells us his aim is to raise as much community awareness as possible for cancer research.

"My mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at age 48 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The news of her diagnosis came just weeks after an aunt of mine completed her chemotherapy treatment also for breast cancer, and now my step-father's father has taken a turn for the worse with his battle against lung cancer."

Josh Marris Josh's 10 Rounds in 24 Hours at Victoria Park Complex, located in the heart of Brisbane, is open to the public and it is hoped as many locals can get behind Josh and support this very worthwhile initiative. First tee off will be at 6:00am and each round approximately every 3 hours thereafter. Josh plans to play all through the night in a marathon effort to raise money for the Queensland Institute of Medical Research.

In addition to Josh's efforts on the golf course, Victoria Park will keep its 72 bay driving range and 18-hole Putt Putt course open for 24 hours with half the proceeds of the night going to QIMR.
