1995 PGA Champion Steve Elkington has spent time working with Golf Australia's National Squad and Rookie Squad members at the National Camp at the Woodlands in Houston, Texas.
Golf Australia High Performance Manager Matt Cutler said Elkington's presence added excitement and expertise to the camp.
"Steve spent some time hitting balls on the range and working with the TrackMan equipment," Cutler said.
"He then spoke to the players about different types of swings and preparations to play. He's aware that he is at a different life stage to our players but there are elements of preparation that transcend age and the players got a lot of out it."
After addressing the players, Elkington, who spent several hours at the camp in the Houston heat, spent time on the range at the Woodlands meeting and observing the players and offering tips and suggestions.
"It was fantastic to have a Major winner and Australian Open champion here and it's certainly a highlight for the players in a very busy week of practice, sports science testing and general check ups in the middle of the international amateur summer circuit," Cutler added.
"I've no doubt the players will take plenty away from this."
