The 94th PGA Championship marks the second major appearance for the new prototype Titleist 913 drivers and the buzz on tour continues to grow. Now factor in a course that's playing around 7,700 yards, and it should be no surprise that distance and overall performance off the tee are a couple of elements that players will be focusing on while traversing the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.

This week, 26 players in the field are gaming a new Prototype 913 driver (913D3 – 18 / 913D2 - 8) and Team Titleist recently checked in with Titleist Brand Ambassadors Geoff Ogilvy, JJimmy Walker, Bill Haas, Marc Leishman and Nick Watney to get their initial reactions on the new drivers. 

"It looks really good and we noticed that off-center hits seem to still keep up the speed that an on-center-hit would have. It's nice to know that the ball's going to go the same distance with an off-center hit," said Walker.

Players continued to work with the Titleist Tour Support team to dial-in their SureFit Tour settings to optimize ball flight and launch conditions. This tour van in a hosel technology ensures a precision fit that also translates into more confidence.

"I use the B•2 setting which makes it a hair more upright," said Haas. "It looks good when you set up behind the ball. So, when you're comfortable, sometimes that's all you need."

A little over a month into the tour seeding and performance validation process, the 913 drivers have already recorded three wins on the worldwide professional tours and continue to build momentum with 913D3 and 913D2 models representing more than half of the Titleist drivers in play at the PGA Championship.
