TITLEIST TO OFFER PRO V1 AND PRO V1x
GOLF BALLS IN SPECIAL PLAY NUMBERS

Fairhaven, MA (March 30, 2012) – Titleist, the #1 ball in golf, announces the availability of its Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls in special double-digit play numbers.  The most trusted golf balls on the worldwide professional tours and with golfers around the globe, the Pro V1 and Pro V1x will be available in the double digit play numbers of 00 or 10-99 by custom order through Titleist-authorized golf shops.  This marks the first time that Pro V1 golf balls are being made available in special double- digit play numbers.

“Golfers, whether on the course or through Team Titleist, have often asked us if they can purchase their Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball in their own unique double digit play number,” said Mary Lou Bohn, Vice President Golf Ball Marketing and Communications. “It may be to distinguish their ball from the other three Pro V1 players in their group, they have a lucky number or favorite athlete’s number, or they want to provide a unique gift for a special birthday or anniversary.  We want to accommodate those Pro V1 and Pro V1x loyalists who trust the Titleist brand and want to create an even more personal connection.”

The Pro V1 and Pro V1x with double digit play numbers are currently available through a special limited time promotion, and as of June 1, 2012, will be available ongoing through custom order only with a minimum purchase of six dozen.  Golfers who are interested in these Pro V1 golf balls should contact their local authorized Titleist golf shop for pricing, availability and other details.

Sweepstakes Rules and Community Policy

Spring is here, and so is the year's first major: The LPGA's Kraft Nabisco Championship.

Last year, Stacy Lewis trusted her Pro V1x golf ball to a closing 3-under 69 and three-shot victory, the third consecutive win for Titleist golf ball players at Mission Hills. Yani Tseng (Pro V1x) won in 2010 and Brittany Lincicome (Pro V1x) in 2009.

"I think the golf ball is the most important thing at a major. The greens are always firm and you have to be able to control your shot and control the trajectory with the wind," Lewis tells Team Titleist.

"They're the hardest conditions we play all year and to know your golf ball is going to perform the same every time – it's a perfect thing."

Team Titleist recently spoke with Lewis, Lincicome, Angela Stanford (Pro V1)  and I.K. Kim (Pro V1) about their keys to success at Kraft and the importance of being able to trust your golf ball under major championship conditions.

See what they had to see in the above video.
