71 years old. Was a 4 handicap Bad accident 10 years ago required multiple orthopedic surgeries. Recent heart valve replacement and copd. No play in 10 years. Went to a local range 3 times. Went from ok to good to pretty good. Been invited to play in a better ball tournament Monday and was wondering which ball would be best for me. Not sure of my swing speed but it sure isn't 115-120 anymore. Lol

Both great balls for any swing speed. The regular Pro VI is a bit softer and spins more around the green while the x may be a bit longer. It depends what you are looking for. the NXT and NXT S are also fine balls at a lower price range.

    Hope this helps.

I am a young 74 and went through 4x heart bypass surgery plus other surgeries. My driver swing speed is 75mph. I have always played Titleist, most of the balls went the same distance, BUT the feel and responce of the PRO V1 was unsurpassed, especially around the green and putting. Play a few rounds with it, I think you will feel the same. Good luck.
  4. The ProV1 would make more sense without knowing more details if these are the only two balls you are considering. The NXT Tour S would also be a consideration IMHO.

    Good Luck!

I can relate to your health issues. 11 years now since my accident and no play for six plus years. My swing speed was never as high as yours, but you will have no problem with either the ProV1 or 1x. when you get back to playing, you will soon remember that it's all about the short game! Your mind knows what it wants to do but your body may not allow it. Don't get frustrated, you're still able to play this great game and many that have went through what you did can not. Be thankful and enjoy the game.

  9. I started on COPD Herbal treatment from Ultimate Health Home, the treatment worked incredibly for my lungs condition. I used the herbal treatment for almost 4 months, it reversed my COPD. I would definitely go for the ProV1 over the ProV1X, however, I have also heard good things about the NXT Tour S.
  11. I currently am playing a ProV1x but noticed that recently I am smashing the ball further then I ever have causing me to figure out my distances again. Will moving to a ProV1 help me with my distance issues?

When it comes to ball recommendations, The big difference at your age is your swing speed first, I would consider another premium ball called the Titleist AVX which is longer than both the ProV1 and ProV1x plus is softer than both. The AVX will also launch slightly lower as well.

Read more about this ball: www.titleist.com/.../002AVXT.html

It should spin and feel great around the greens.

As always when testing any balls, start with putter, then go to chipping, then irons from the fairway, and lastly off the tee.

    Worth considering!
