Can anyone tell me specifically, how these club heads differ is size. Top line dimensions, sole dimensions, club head height dimensions. All the best and thank you for any responses, in advance.

Thank you Greg, I have looked through these pages and there is not a single dimension posted here for club head sizes. Shaft lengths are mentioned, but little else.

The reason I'm like a 'dog with a rag' on this question is, I feel I want to move into a Titleist CB sometime this year. I'm somewhat convinced the actually club head size is the same as the AP2's but without all that "tungsten" non sense.

What kind of clubs are you currently playing?  According to your profile, you list that you are playing CBs.  Are you buying new CBs?  The AP2s are sweet clubs and are being used on the tour by the best.   Take you old CBs to a shop and compare them to the AP2s.  Cheers, Chuck

Good morning Chuck Z. Thank you for your response, I do appreciate your feedback. Here's the whole story. I will make it brief. I actually owned a set of 712 AP1's, I bought them new, I hit those really well. I traded them in and left golf for two years. Now, I'm back and ready to devote a lot of time into hitting the ball as flush as I can. My attraction to hitting balls has never been for distance. What excites me more than distance is the challenge of hitting a clean, flush golf shot. It's in the sound, it's in the feedback from the ball, that's what I love.

At this point, I do not have any irons. I know I can handle an AP1. My gut tells me, I'm very comfortable at the range and on the golf course with these irons. My dilemma is I want to challenge myself. I do prefer the look of a smaller club head and I prefer the focus needed to hit a smaller club head. I would love a set of Titleist CB's, that's why you see CB in my profile at this time. This is where I would ultimately like to be. But I am afraid I may not be able to handle them. I think I may be able to handle and AP2, but I prefer the 'less is more' adage if you will, regarding irons and how their made. Hence the question regarding club head size of both the CB and the AP1. If those clubs are identical in club face size, sole width size, I would then look at the CB very seriously. If they're not the same? Then I would look at the AP2 and change my profile to reflect that.

I hope this makes sense to you, and again, thank you.

Go to a Titleist fitting centre. I had my heart set on the AP2, its a wonderful club and I hit well with it. I tried all the irons but when I hit with CBs (714) the feeling I got instantly and the numbers confirmed this was the irons for me and what a fantastic club they are, however golf clubs are a very personal choice and Titleist have the best range to cater for all levels of ability from the AP1s through to the MB. So what suits me won't suit everyone.

What I will say in my personal opinion is the CB is a hidden gem in the Titleist range, more forgiving than people think and easy to hit. The club head is small but I put the work in hitting balls and the profile at address from this club provides me with a lot of confidence. I hit straight and high with these clubs, however the fitting session I had was important as I got the right shaft for me which is fundamental in the club - it's the engine. I got KBS tour stiff shafts which are the best I've ever had.

Hitting the sweet spot really is a buzz with the CB. The small head makes me concentrate but is not at all intimidating. I relax because I like the look at address. An ultra sexy thin sole and it feels light in my hand and not a lump of lead like my old clubs.

A fitting session at Titleist fill provide you with the answers you seek. Speaking with fellow Team Titleist follows is helpful but the staff at the fitting centres are first class and their only agenda is to find the right product and set up for you and you only. Their feedback is first class and he numbers you get to review are a great insight into your swing and complete set up.

On the fitting I had I discovered a fundamental error with my set up that wasn't easily seen to the naked eye when hitting with woods. Since then I've gained a much better flight and greater distance which has been the case with every club in my bag because the staff helped me find the right tools for me.

Let us know how you get on. Best of luck my friend. :).
