I am looking to find a Titleist club and ball fitter that is close to Trail, British Columbia. What would be the closest location?

    Hi Gordon,

From the Ritziest website and fitting location search, it looks like the Golf Town in Kelowna would be your closest fitting location. They are listed as using the SureFit bag system, which appears to be the entry level for Titleist Fittings.

If you are looking for a more thorough fitting experience from Titleist, I would strongly suggest that you consider the Regional Fitting Centre in Surrey, BC at the Northview Golf Club.

They can do a full fitting with you, including the Trackman Data, and all of the various club heads and shaft options. It is quite the experience and one that I have undertaken a few times.

Of course, there are other fitters in the lower mainland that have the fitting cart system (which is below the Regional Fitting Centre service, but a bit more than the SureFit bag system). Some of these would be Fraserview Golf Course (Vancouver) and Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club.

Our Canadian TT staff person, Mitch D. is extremely knowledgeable and should be able to assist with more details or to correct my information should my understanding not be correct. Of course, you could also search the Spokane, WA sites as well to see if they have any fitting cart systems there. As you know, its only 2 hours from Trail, but the currency and duty costs of product may prove to be prohibitive now.

    All the best Gordon, D.

    Hi Dino J,

Thanks for the information.  I am looking at contacting The Kelowna Golf and Country Club for an assessment and fitting, they were recommended to me by Ben from Titleist.

I have already purchased clubs this year and seem to not be getting the distance I expected.  Probably due to golfer error more than equipment failure.  I have lowered my index from 26 to 17.1 with my new clubs which has been fantastic.

    My clubs are as following:

    915 D3 9.5 Aldila Rogue shaft 95 MSI 70-3.3-S (250-270yds), 915F 3 Aldila Rogue shaft 95 MSI 80-2.8-S (230yds), 915F 5 Aldila Rogue shaft 95 MSI 60-3.6-S (215yds).

    714 AP2 2 degree upright with Dynamic Gold S300 shafts, 3-W, a Vokey SM5 M grind 56 degree 10 and a Scotty Cameron Futura 5R putter.

    Hi Gordon,

Did you get fitted for those clubs per se? If so, where did you get fitted?

Ben at Titleist Canada should steer you well. I've dealt with him on a warranty matter and he was excellent in his customer service!

My fitter indicated to me that the 714 AP2 clubs would be a little less in terms of distance (compared to my investment cast irons), but that I should see more consistent performance in my ball flight, trajectory and ability to control these shots.

I can say that I have experienced significant improvement in these areas, cutting my handicap index by a whopping 35%. The slight drop in distance that U may have given up on the irons, I have more than made up for with better AND more consistent shots, hitting more greens in regulation and in terms of my overall ball striking.

I am also noticing that my distance with the irons has also increased again C...with almost 10 months of practice and use my ball striking has improved and I am able to make more consistently better swings on the ball resulting in the improved distance as well.

If you go to Kelowna for the fitting, then make sure that you get the Trackman data report as well. This should help you with assessing your fit and give you a reference for the future. Make sure to get some more rounds in before the leaves all turn yellow ...Birchbank is one of my favourite courses!

    D.
