In the last six weeks, I was fortunate to play Pebble Beach and the South Course at Torrey Pines. Pebble Beach was incredible! It was as impressive as you could imagine. Torrey was not so much, packed it like sardines and played in just under 5.5 hours. Where should I try to play next?

    Hi Adam,

If I could play any course I would probably play Augusta National. I love parkland courses. Maybe a choice for your next round?

I have played at some resort courses in virginia like the Homested and Primland and they both were amazing so many gorgoues views and great golf courses in general, this summer for my junior tour i will be playing the greenbrier which i am overly excited for. I have played with a guy that played TPC Sawgrass and he said it was amazing as well.

Yes, Whistling Straights is a place I would like to play. I grew up a couple hours north of these courses, they built them after I left. Have you seen the pictures of Chamber Bay, that course looks like a lot of fun.

    Great question...

Every one's obvious choice is Augusta National. That's an easy one after that mine would be in order be :

    Pebble Beach

    Spy Glass

    TPC SawGrass

    Harbour Town

You have played some great courses.  I can understand your thoughts on Torrey Pines.

If you get to the Monterey area again, others to check include - Poppy Hills, Laguna Seca, Bayonet/Black Horse, Pacific Grove, San Juan Oaks and a slew of private courses.

    My list:

    • Torrey Pines - North Course (played before; loved the views; I liked the South Course too).
    • Valhalla (check my profile pic!).
    • Spyglass Hill (played many years ago).
    • Pebble Beach (also played many years ago; I'd rather forget my score!).
Being from the Phoenix area, have you played the ASU course?  If so, did you like it?

Other than the pretty much unanimous vot of Augusta, I think TPC Sawgrass Champion Course would be the one....

Though I live only an hour away from Chambers Bay... That's a given for me...After all the hoopla winds down...

Will be playing Whistling Straits in July so that will come off my wish list.  St. Andrews is a course I'd love to combine with a tour of Wales and Ireland, possibly next summer.  Go back's: Waterton and Banff in Canada.

I have been very lucky and have played a good number of great courses. If I could pick any course it would have to be Augusta National.

Now to answer your question. I've dreamed of playing Pebble since I started playing 30 years ago. Three daughters and a thin wallet got in the way of that dream. But, I have been able to go to the course and watch the US Opens that were played there. That will have to be enough in this lifetime. I do hope you check out Bandon. It's a special place

The course I would like to play most is Aronimink in Pennsylvania. Looks absolutely stunning!

My favorite courses I've played have been Paa Ko Ridge in Albuquerque, Torrey Pines South, The Quarry at Giant's Ridge in Minnesota and Mystic Rock in Pennsylvania.

Well now that the Open is so close Chambers Bay is closed, but when it opens again I would play there. I'm stationed at Fort Lewis which means I'm 5 miles from Chambers, but I've never been lucky enough to play it. Having spent some time on the course without having played it makes it that much more upsetting, but anytime I had a chance to suggest someone go there to enjoy the amazing staff and caddies I have.
