Snow has melted enough where golf courses are opening up here in CT and it's about time. I set a tee time up at our favorite course near us (Lyman Orchards) for next week and it's all I can think about. Im driving in my car to work today and keep saying to myself...Relax think of something other than golf or you'll go crazy. Then I drive by this... Unbelievable! For those already out golfing enjoy you luckies! For those like me so close the the proverbial finish line, what are you all doing to pass the time and not drive everyone around you to the brink of insanity?

    Josh,

Well for starters, I am going crazy!

I've decided the only remedy is take next Thursday/Friday off to A)Golf,no matter type of shape my course is in and B)Watch The Masters duh!

Hopefully next week solves my bad case of cabin fever.

Hey Joshua B, a fellow Connenecticut resident here. I am playing Sunday at Grassy Hill and I am so pumped. Just shined up the clubs. During the winter I hit a lot of balls indoors and played rounds in simulators at Fore Seasons Golf in Bethany. Also would take 50-100 swings in my garage. Play well this weekend, Jones or Player course?

Like...Player course (love the iron shots needed on that target golf course). Fore Seasons definitely helps the winter blues, a well kept secret! Enjoy Orange Sunday, play well!

Ok you guys in Conn. rubbing it in. Up here in Newburyport Mass, course opening has been postponed for another week or two.
Now the weatherman says a Nor'easter coming in tonight.

Ex-Connecticut golfer here. Used to be a member at Oxford Greens. Played Grassy Hill a lot, and also Lyman Orchards a few times as well, with reciprocity through OG. (Both Billy Casper-managed courses). If you haven't played Oxford Greens yet, you are missing a great track. One of the top 5 in CT. Have to check with my buds there, but pretty sure they are already open.

Hey Doug E, I have played Oxford Greens about a dozen times. Great track with great greens! They are open as well. I am member at Yale (heading into my 4th year there), which plans on opening up Wednesday or Thursday next week. Have a great season and play well!

It is a great course...Some epic panoramic views (Oxford). I believe there have been LPGA qualify events there due to the great greens.

Tell 'em Jerry. You Conn. guys jinxed us. You got all rain in the last 24 hours. Still flurrying here after a few more inches, just to postpone Wednesday's opening AGAIN! But, it could be worse......New Hampshire and Maine are back to winter. A week for us.....probably several for them. So I guess there's always someone a little worse off than the next guy. At least the further North you go. Good luck everyone

Thats a cool photo. Never saw carts racked up like that on a small trailer.

Weather not very cooperative in east Ohio either. Went up to my practice 9 holer today and the geese have dug holes on the greens so they were closed.
