Pro V1 vs V1x

I did a Titleist ball fitting at Golf Galaxy - Driver, 7 Iron, Wedge - and numbers favored V1x. However, for each club I hit the V1 first and then, the V1x second, and I feel like I put better full-swings on all of the second V1x shots. Given that I really don’t like the feel of the V1x, particularly chipping and putting, and have an 85 mph swing speed, I am wondering if the V1 might be the better option, as I will be able to compress it better on full-shots, and play softer shots around the green. Thoughts?

ProV1 2025 Launch

The day started with Russel Henley and Bob MacIntyre hitting shots for us on #18 and explaining why they like the ProV1 model they play on tour. Bones was asking them questions and we got to ask some too.

Afterwards we had the ball fitting with a half/full PW, 7 iron and driver. Emma did a great job with my fitting session.

During our 18 hole round at the Golden Bear, Bones commented on some of the shots and read some puts for us.

He shared with us that Phil played the first ProV1 in the Shell Classic to beat Fred Couples.

I’ve happily used the X as my ball for the last 7 years. I’m now struggling to get to over 80 mph driver speed (stuff happens as you get older…) Just curious if any low speed golfers have done a serious green to tee comparison of a Pro-V model to either Tour Soft or TruFeel? My curiosity was raised by a MySpy golf article that listed 2 piece surlyn as the best options for low speed swings. Neither Titleist ball was included. I have time to think about this as all the local courses are closed for the season. As well as my Pro-V ball supply may last well beyond 2025.

I’ve been a member of team Titleist for many years now and try to sign up for any sweepstakes offered by Titleist.

I was hoping to find out what I needed to do to increase my chances to get the chance to demo and Titleist products or receive any sort of the Titleist swag packages that I frequently see posting on Facebook.

I’d love to get the opportunity to play in one of the Titleist golf outings. I was hoping after doing a full bag fitting a few months ago and upgrading my equipment would have possibly helped me kinda get the inside track to be able to receive and test some demo equipment but so far I’ve had no success. I comment or post here regularly and start threads myself but I’m out of ideas and seem to have no luck in this situation.

Could some of the seasoned Titleist fans and potential winners please off up so advice on how they were able to be selected a winner and what they did to improve their chances of winning?

Fit for left dot but cant get them!!!

The best ball at my last fitting was the left dot. After hitting all the regular balls, the fitter gave me some left dots to hit. Its by far the best ball for me.....but I cant get them.

So im in a ball (v1) that doesnt maximize my game. Im really hoping the left dot gets released like the support teams mentioned.

I’m An 11 handicap player I currently play 2021 T200 irons so went for a fitting for the new T200 irons was told I’m putting to much spin on the golf ball the fitter suggested changing from pro v1 to Avx is there much off a difference any thoughts welcome.

Hello all,

New member here so please excuse me if this has been asked recently, although I have searched and could not find a related thread.

I have recently returned to golfing on a regular basis. While i was away attending school (Broke student life style) i played 1-3 times a year. Before that, while still in high school i would play 40+ rounds a year with a Hcp that floated around 10. I have played the ProV1 since I could swing the club with sufficient speed. During my absence from the game, Titleist launched the AVX. In this time my Hcp has climbed to roughly an 18-20 (Hard to get an accurate gauge on 1-3rds a year) but my swing speed has increased. I swing roughly 105Mph comfortably now and consistently hit a high fade.

I'm curious about everyone's experience with the AVX in comparison to the ProV1 that I typically play. I'm looking for a ball that would provide lower long range spin and a low launch angle as I naturally hit a high ball. Should I stick to the ProV1 or change things up? Thoughts, Opinions and personal experiences welcome.

Switched from tour soft to prov1. Not sure what ball is ok for me. Have 118 ball speed with 8 iron which goes 155 to 160. Driver is 130 with an average distance of 260 to 280. Am 59 years old.

I'm looking for a ball that will launch high, provide mid-spin, release consistently with chips. I know Titleist PROV1 has different models now, with left dash, +, etc. I'm leaning towards PROV1x, however, would like to know offerings within the PROV1 series. Thanks TT!
