I went from CTaper S+ (125g) to the X6.0's following a fit many moons ago and found the transition easy. Not nearly as much of a profile difference as say an S300 vs X6.0.

I've been playing Project X Rifle shafts ever since. I've bounced around between the 6.5 and 6.0 flex over the years, even a brief stint with the LZ6.0's.

All in all, I always find myself coming back to the Rifle 6.0 shaft. Superior stability throughout the swing, with enough feel on less than full swings.

Although I wouldn't change shafts just to get something sooner, I would trust your fitter not steering you wrong. You can always pick up a set of KBS shafts down the line if you wanted to swap them out. I see shaft pulls often in my area ranging from $100-$250 a set (7 shafts). Nothing to say you are stuck with the Rifle shafts forever.
