Is anyone else experiencing the head cracking on the 917 fairway metals? This is my second head and it’s cracked again around the same area as my last 917. Its really aggravating considering now I’m gonna have to either replace this one again only to replace it again in the future, or I’m gonna have to go to another brand. I love this 3 wood, but I’m sure by now it’s out of warranty which means I’ll have to buy another. Idk how good the TS fairways are, but they also have the active recoil channels and I feel that, that is what’s causing the cracking. Could be wrong. Just wanted to I guess rant a little and see how many people are experiencing the same problems I am. Thanks

Wow! You must be generating some serious club-head speed or playing Top Flite balls. :) There are a lot of current PGA professionals hitting this same club successfully. That said, they might change the head out occasionally as they get a bit worn.

You’re not alone, my club is cracked in the same identical spot. Just purchased the club this past summer. The mgr from Golf Galaxy is going to send it back to Titleist and I’ll have to see what happens after they check the club out.

I’m thinking after your 2nd 917 head it’s not a problem with the heads. You are swinging hard or hitting some hard golf balls.
  5. Hmm. I don´t know what to say. You might be just hitting the ball weird in a weak spot on the club, but that being said many others may have been experiencing this as well.

Whoa! That’s a first. How many rounds do you play a week? You must have one heck of a swing.
