Funny you mention this. I just got fitted by Titleist for a driver and was interested in looking at a 3 wood too. I love my other brand 15 degree 3W.... when I connect with it. But getting off the deck solid in anything other than a perfect lie just wasn’t working for me over the past couple years.

Based upon that and my swing, he put me in a TS2 and 3 16.5 to try. Damn if I didn’t smoke it every time. Gained 15-20 yards on my current 3W, while being set at C4. Even some bad hits were more forgiving and reasonably clean. It all seemed counterintuitive to me, but with the right shaft, the fitter hit the magic numbers.

Can't stress enough how important good fitting is with respect to woods & hybrids.
Many will mention the fitting options but often the length of the shaft is overlooked.
I struggle with the length of drivers and usually opt for a slightly shorter shaft and you can do the same with fairways if that's an issue.
This might help getting launched... but a good fitter would know... And try before you buy - my fitter is prepared to let me test the best option - within reason, obviously!

I LOVE my 915 fairway, but am anxious to try the TS line once I'm fully recovered from my minor knee surgery soon, so I can't say anything about how they each are, just want to offer one thing that works well for me, since again, I LOVE, my Titleist fairway and I bomb it from the fairway... I owe a good number of eagles to that club!

Things to be of more importance when hitting from the fairway:

1) Focus on a steadier lead knee (don't sway at all)
2) Take it away as one piece and very SLOWLY back
3) Soft hands and rip it through. You've really got to let the club lag and catch up at impact.

I found the 917 turf interaction some what inconsistent for my swing . I went to the Cleveland launcher HB and found it to great off the deck and long. I do love my Titleist clubs and was hoping the Ts2 would be better than the 917. So feedback on the ts fairways would be welcome.

Best thing you can do is go get custom fitted at a Titleist fitting centre near you.
They will answer all your questions and you’ll be able to see what works for your swing!

I have the TS2 15 Degree Fairway Wood.
For me it's the finest Fairway Wood Titleist has ever made.
I would say the FW's are better than the Drivers as far as gains.

If you preferred the F2 or the F3 in the 917, it will likely be the same in the TS fairways. "Easier to hit" is strictly individual based on your mechanics and speed. The TS3 will be a lower, more boring flight. I need as much launch as I can get, so I find the TS2 easier to use on the fairway.

That all depends on the person. Swing, shaft etc. I know some people that can't hit either off the deck but you stick a hybrid/long iron in their hands and no problem.
