The only way to be sure that the product is authentic, is to purchase your Titleist products from an authorized dealer.

Serial numbers, like credit card numbers, are easily copied. Not a sure way to guarantee authenticity.

Anytime one buys used clubs, one needs to ask about the chain of custody. Major resellers, local shops, and local players are better odds than small resellers on sites like eBay. Easy to spot if the retailer has over a thousand transactions.

That the 710’s are approaching 14 years since released, if you try hitting a couple and the sound and feel is consistent, then likely they are legitimate. The usual precautions like if they are shipped from overseas or the price is too good to be true wouldn’t apply here.

Greg...I cannot tell. It may help if you find the serial number on the hosel of one of the irons and contact Titleist. They may be able to tell you if they are genuine and should also be able to provide you with the original build specs.

You can look at he previous models under the club's tab and compare how they look. Also see if there is serial numbers stamped.

What's the serial number for the set? Should be on the hozel of the six iron and most likely would begin with a 0 or a 1 and should be at least seven digits.

The ability to match originals is much better these day, so much so that looking at these pictures we could not guarantee authenticity. The best way to know would be tracking their history and/or purchasing from a very reliable reseller. Given the retail value of a set this old, the risk is not as great as going with a so called "good deal" on a set of new T100's.
