I have arthritic hands, I started using Winn Dri Tac 2.0 jumbo (have big hands). They have greatly diminished the pain I would feel the next day after a round of golf.

Winn Dri Tac or Winn Excel RF. If you use Lamkin, the swingweight changes by 2 points.

I have a bit of arthritis in my left hand and I continously have to apply added grip pressure with that hand to ensure a solid shot. I use golf pride mid size grips and I'm thinking I will at least add another layer of tape on my next regrip. Probably headed for even larger grips in the future.

Try one or two different ones on a wedge or short iron, something you'll use fairly often to test. The recommendations above are all good, just find something you like. I made the switch to midsize about 7 or 8 years ago.

For the record, I love how soft the Winn Dri Tac midsize are and that's my favored grip. I generally refresh my grips 2-3 times per year.

Hi, i have also arthritis, I went to midsize and it was confortable bur I was having some tears on my glove and more problem with right hand. Maybe I was holding my club too light.
What worked for me is the Golf Pride MCC plus regular size. This grip is bigger for the right hand and I have better pressure on this grip

If you have never tried a jumbomax grip I highly recommend at least looking. The ultralite series is essentially swing weight neutral, and it took about 1-2 weeks to get used to but absolutely transformed my grip, feeling secure holding a club, and not needing to wear a golf glove anymore, less finger pain, higher balls speeds from what I'm assuming is less forearm tension.

No guarantees, but I will never go back.

Biggest downside, I struggle to play standard grips anymore, makes rentals/fittings hard.

dont worry about swing weight. it will be so minimal, unless you are a pro you will not even feel it

I have MCC plus 4 grips on my wedges. The mid size grip helps quiet my hands on shots from 50 tds in.

I think Don O is right on his theory. If you wear a watch or a distance watch it decreases the swingweight by about two points. I'd get a grip that you like - the midsize cord grips will decrease swingweight a point or two -and regrip a few clubs and see what happens.

I agree with Barry, the Golfworks website can be helpful. You can also go directly to the OEM website if you have a preferred(Lamkin/Winn/Golf Pride) and get the information as well. The standard tour 360 lite grip only weighs 43g. You will be hard pressed to find a mid-size grip that is that light. The mid-size grips usually fall in the 50-60g range. Good luck in your hunt for grips that work for you.

I think if you're battling arthritis, having a bigger more comfortable grip would be worth whatever minimal impact would be on the swing weight.

I have the MCC Plus 4 midsize grey, on all my clubs. I get fitted for my clubs by the same fitter and have those grips on every club. Age (will be 77 in about 90 days) has guided me towards the midsize grips and I love them.

I switched all my grips on TSI2 driver and T100s irons to Winn DriTac Mid size and couldn't be happier

I may catch the dickens for my theory. The grip weight is literally in your hands. While this may affect swing weight on a static plane measurement, because the weight change is close to the fulcrum point ( your hands), the effect will be minimized. The more important factor is your club face rotation due to the change in how much you close your grip, or not, due to the size change. You might notice a little more fade in your shots.

No doubt if the midsize aids your comfort, go for it. Adjust if you need to. Better precision doesn’t necessarily mean better accuracy. Especially for the vast majority of golfers that can’t feel a swing weight change of +/-2 points.

You can always add heavier weights in the head to offset the heavier grips if it creates a problem. Most likely, you will feel minimal difference in weight compared to the significant difference a larger grip will have in your release at impact. I would just make the grip change and get used to the swing first, then if you feel the head is still too light, try lead tape to make sure that works, then order a new weight for the TSR1.
