I just bought a pair for this season, any reviews?

I am fair skinned and the pre-round routine of bathing in Neutrogena SPF 70 at times becomes tiresome. My hope is that the sun sleeves will protect my arms to the point that I no longer need to "bathe" my arms in sunscreen.

I have a pair and find they work well. They can be a bit troublesome to keep clean. After using them I will rinse them out with cold water and hang them to dry. For deep cleaning, I will use oxycleen or hit them with some stain pretreat to help them stay nice and white and hang them to dry. I also find they are great for cool mornings to keep the arms warm without adding a lot of bulk when you know the temps will rise during your round and then they can be easily removed and stowed away in the bag.

Fortunately I never use sunscreen. I am approaching 73 years or age and see my dermatologist once a year and fortunately have never had an issue. Most folks I know who use them say they work as they are supposed to. I use them on mornings are a little chilly, versus wear a light jacket and to help keep off the "no see ems". Believe me, I can see those little gnats. Great product......

I've been wearing them since last season. I find they do a great job of protecting my arms for the sun, without a need for sun screen lotion or cream (I am a skin cancer survivor). They also make me feel relatively cool, even in the heat and humidity of southeast Texas in mid-summer. They really are one size fits all. Take care of them, though, as the white does have a tendency to darken over time from sweat and normal dirt collected during a round of golf.

I am heavily tattooed...a pricey endeavour that if I wish to keep them in good bright condition they must be out of the sun. I've bought the sleeves as well. They work well, took a little to get used to as they are right, but didnt affect my score at all.

I put on sunscreen and these sound like a great idea. Where can I pick up a pair? Are they cool to wear in the hot summer time?

I bought mine off the Footjoy website.

And I have found them to be cool in the hot sun.

Has anyone noticed any compression benefits from the sleeves, or are they not that tight? I am thinking about ordering some as I am fair skinned and freckly.

Hey, Brad! The sun sleeves aren't designed as compression sleeves, just for sun protection.

I don't find them tight enough for compression benefits, but FJ only has one size fits all.
  11. They are pretty much the same as the basketball shooting sleeves. I have noticed that some brands are thinner then others though.

Interesting...it's the time of year now where I am that just walking ten feet to your car will cause you to sweat off about 5 pounds. Very hot, very humid, very uncomfortable. So much so that I am having a hard time finding friends to even attempt 9 holes due to the heat. Wonder if these would help ease some of the pains associated with summer around here.
  13. Got a set a few weeks ago and they seem to work great! Like Ichabod sait it's getting to be face melting time around here in TX and I was worried about them adding to the misery but I haven't had a hard time with them.

Now, finding sweat-proof shorts.....that's another question all together!!
