If you have been fit, tried, or purchased a new Titleist GTS driver, this is the thread where you can share your thoughts on look, feel, and performance.

To help get the conversation started, we pulled some of our favorites from reviews across our own forums and other online communities. And while we encourage you to read through all these thoughtful reviews below, we will continue to add staff favorites as they come in.

Staff Favorites

"Had my GTS fitting, didn't think they could get that much better, but picked up 4mph ball speed and 15 yards on average. Moving to a GTS3 from the GT2 and just bombed some drives. And the fairway woods. Wow. Love the face change, just adds more confidence and great launch." — Tim M.

"Gamed [a GTS driver] this weekend at the Team Titleist Ballyhack event. Definitely hotter across the face than GT. Especially noticed increased carry on a couple of thinned drives. They still got out there! Sound has also improved over GT, more similar to TSR. Also hit the GTS4 a few times and it's really good. First time I've seen a 460cc head in the 4 option." — Wade W.

"My GTS4 is cooking right now. Not sure what kind of funky voodoo they put in this thing, but wow." — MtnBiker5

Let's not stop here. For anyone who gets fit for a GTS driver or adds one to their bag, we would love to hear your review as well!

Please note: to keep this thread clean, any responses that aren't a first-person experience with new GTS metals will be moved to a more appropriate discussion topic.

Fantastic late spring weather greeted us after a week’s worth of rain at the course. Conditions were excellent— fast, receptive greens, firm fairways, long rough, and mostly light breezes. Practice, warm up round on Friday introduced is to Ballyhack’s intricacies. A competitive, but still fun round on Sunday challenged us all to do our best. Sunday afternoon offered GTS fittings and a par three Cluster on the front nine. Dinner, and Wade’s always challenging Titleist Trivia quiz accompanied prize winner announcements and much animated discussion among the attendees.

Many thanks to Lisa, Stephen, and especially Wade for another outstanding event. We are all looking forward to continuing old friendships along with the new ones made this weekend at other Team Titleist events as well as off line.
[View:http://www.titleist.com/discussion-images/jpg//teamtitleist/cfs-file/__key/acushnet-telligent-discussions-attachments/discussions-09-00/g5vug9gdsmnofzkxcnfg:550:0][View:http://www.titleist.com/discussion-images/jpg//teamtitleist/cfs-file/__key/acushnet-telligent-discussions-attachments/discussions-09-00/rkvzeacfvkag76ycvl0n:550:0][View:http://www.titleist.com/discussion-images/jpg//teamtitleist/cfs-file/__key/acushnet-telligent-discussions-attachments/discussions-09-00/qojwlvqcg2n5gjbw9xhy:550:0][View:http://www.titleist.com/discussion-images/jpg//teamtitleist/cfs-file/__key/acushnet-telligent-discussions-attachments/discussions-09-00/quczfchmajz23mzs7grl:550:0][View:http://www.titleist.com/discussion-images/jpg//teamtitleist/cfs-file/__key/acushnet-telligent-discussions-attachments/discussions-09-00/hglfwqmct9mwpql9t6ms:550:0]

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

I have been a Titleist Ambassador for a while now. He has fit me for a number of my last drivers, as well as irons, so he knows my game. We started with getting some baseline numbers with my current gamer, GT3. He asked me what I knew about the drivers so far, so he showed me the design of the head, in two pieces, which was cool. He hands me a club 'blindly' & says to "hit it & tell me what you think." I lay the club down next to mine & see similarities & realize it's the GTS3. Hit a few & they weren't very far from my gamer. Next, hit the GTS2 with 1* less loft at 8* & got 1/2 mph more ball speed & lower spin by about 500 rpm, which I was very surprised about at the lower loft. Finally, came the club I was most intrigued by coming in, the GTS4. Setting down behind the ball, immediately it gave me the look of the old 975D, classic pear shape, with a slightly closed face at address. Hit a few & loved the sound right off the bat. Ball seemed to jump off the face quickly, yet sticking to the face longer, if that makes any sense. Went from 136 ball speed to 141 & 14* dynamic loft & 3000 spin. Hit a number of them back to back, squarely in the center of the face, very consistent. My miss out on the toe didn't lose very much ball speed nor dispersion. I was really impressed with the dispersion, because it literally seemed to eliminate the right side entirely. What did go right, didn't go right very far, so it was a nice fade that would have stayed in the fairway. The final numbers were with my gamer shaft ... nothing else we tried could match the numbers - Graphite Design XC 6:

Club Speed - 91.2 mph vs 95.3 mph (grant it I was just coming in cold)
Dyn Loft - 15.1* vs 12.8*
Ball Speed - 133 mph vs 141 mph (also increased probably because I was warmed up)
Spin Rate - 3130 rpm vs 2750 rpm

What I like most about the GTS4 was not the distance or ball speed increase (at my slow swing, I'll take whatever little I can get), but the dispersion. Eliminating the ride side of the fairway, my miss. Too many times I lose strokes for not hitting the fairway. The GTS4 is the best driver Titleist has made in years. If I can step to the tee box with confidence that the club is going to do what I want it do, more often than not, then it's a gamer for me. It will be in the bag for the unforeseen future. Well ... at least until the next iteration comes out. ;)

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Looking forward to my Woburn fitting at the end of July. Based on a previous GT fitting, I expected to leave with the GTS3 driver, but that changed quickly. After Marc walked me through the new drivers and asked the usual fitting questions, we tested all three models. As we worked, we talked about my driver tendencies. I naturally draw the ball, so I’m always looking for a driver that allows that shape without turning my miss into a hook. Marc encouraged me to keep an open mind, and within minutes he had me hitting the GTS4 9-degree. I immediately gained 2 mph of ball speed, and my drives started launching high and straight with a slight draw. After he shortened the shaft and added weight to the head, my ball speed increased by 7 mph. I was swinging more freely, striking the center of the face, and no longer manipulating the club to control the shot. I haven’t swung a driver this confidently in years. Since receiving the club, I’ve played five rounds, and my playing partners keep asking where the extra distance came from. I tell them I was clearly ill-fitted for my previous driver, and Marc Mitchel did a great job.

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

I hit my new Titleist GTS 2 driver 15 yards farther than my Titleist GT 2. This was my first fitting in about six years as I will never buy a new driver without getting fit again, I also inquired about a three wood which is something that I had never been fir for and never able to hit one well off the deck. I was for for the GTS2 16.5 degree head and both have the tensi RIP S flex shaft. Both clubs have a great feel and I feel way more confident knowing that I was fit. I was really impressed with the firing and that new face on the fairway wood is very appealing to my eye, thanks TT for not only taking care of the Pros but us recreational golfers also. #TT

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

My fitting was terrific but still waiting for most of my ordered clubs to arrive! Struggled to get consistent height and spin on the GT, especially with my miss higher on the head. GTS with weights flipped is so stable and flies through a great window. My carry is really consistent and I’m pulling driver on almost every hole now. Really nice update! Was in GT 2 10 and now in GTS 2 10 with heavy weight in the rear.

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Loved my fitting even tho it rained for most of it the fitter was super knowledgeable and I loved his style of fitting just passing me the clubs without telling me what head it was gave an unbiassed approach and then just looking at the numbers I went from GT3 9deg which I loved to GTS2 9deg what surprised me most tho when I was about half way home I realised that the hosel setting was turned down .75 and actually 8.25 deg not bad when last year I had my shafts re looked at because I thought I was struggling to launch the driver.

I also looked at getting fit for GTS 5 wood as I thought that this may go well in the top of the bag as I go driver gt280 then I 3 iron 4 iron so taking one of the top irons out and to my surprise even tho I thought I was hitting it really well the numbers didn’t lie and was recommended to keep the irons in the top and there would be no benefit to me.

I love getting fit by Titleist as you get an honest opinion as they know you are probably going to but it anyway you know you are coming away with what’s right

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Last year coming off of a significant shoulder injury, I ended up with a GT-1 driver. This year, the GT-1 was launching too high and too easy to generate a balloon shot. It was a 12 degree fitted to 13.5 but even dialing it down to 11.25 this year, still too much launch. With a Titleist fitting the hour before a league round, I signed up for a fitting. Without a GTS-1, I was prepared to walk or see what would happen with a GT-1 10.5 degree head. I expected these to be the probable result. I have been adding lead tape to the GT-1 as well as backing off the loft.
With a head that is heavier, I immediately was hitting a window I wanted to see with the GTS-2 11 degree head. Didn’t even need to reset the hosel from the base D4 (LH) setting.
Going in, I was prepared to pay the $100 fee or $449 for a different GT-1. I wasn’t going to get a GTS driver unless it really outperformed my GT-1. Well, with 3 mph more ball speed and 15-20 yards with a lower carry and a longer rollout, Titleist got me again. While swing speed did not change (terminal old age condition) as Stephanie at Titleist points out, all else equal, Mass x Speed will improve ball speed.
Now hoping my order moves to “Shipping” ant day.

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

I got my fitting last May 17th and I got my GTS2 last week. Cameron Buckley adjusted my settings to D1 with 9 deg loft from B2 with 10 deg from my GT2. I was able to swing fast without worrying that my ball will give to much draw. I was able to gain average of 10-15 yards farther and better dispersion. However, I currently use ventus tr blue 5s. I might try the new tr blue with velocore+. I hear good reviews in comparison to the tr series. They said the new tr w velocore+ swings lighter with more feel on the head mass.

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

You in Lancaster Ohio? I was very open to the process of not sure if I was gonna go into the 2, 3 or 4 model and also was open to what shaft worked best.

I was coming from a GT3 with GD VF 6x, GT 1 Tour and GT 2 7 with UB 7x.

I am 57 years old and still can carry it 250+ on average.

Surprisingly the GTS2 was just too spiny and did not get the ball speed we were hoping for. GTS4 on good hits was fastest ball speed but the misses were way too low of spin and penalizing. We determined the GTS3 was the best for me with weight forward. Then we cycled through shafts starting with my gamer VF 6x. I do better with the more linear profile type of shaft and what came apparent was I was squaring the face up a bit better with S flex. The Titan picked me up 2.4 mph of ball speed which was great. We then found the sweet spot with GD AD FI. I thought it would be too soft in tip but all of a sudden club squared up better, ball speed and spin became even tighter. I gained an additional 2mph on top of the 2.4 for a total gain of 4.4 mph of ball speed and better dispersion!

Next was onto fairways. The GT1 Tour numbers were really solid and even though I liked how the GTS 2&3 looked the numbers were very similar so we stayed with my gamer and will revisit 3 wd when GTS 1 launches.

In regard to 7 wood, really liked how the GTS 3 looked and performed. The silver face gave me more confidence to go at it and I really like the deeper face of the GTS3. Ended up in the AD-FI 7s and it help the high right spiny miss I would get.

Received them on Tuesday and took them straight out! Really liked how great they look and the performance was great.

Once again great job by Titleist and cannot wait to test GTS1 3 wood when it launches!

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

I'm hoping to get the call today that my new GTS 2 is in! Upgrading from the 910 D2!!! I got my spin down from about 3500 to 2200-2500 and picked up almost 10 mph of ball speed. It worked out to an average 10 yards more carry and total but the dispersion was so tight. I did a fitting, then went to the store and spent another hour with the Tensei 1k red 55 stiff and the Titan 60 stiff. I had a little more distance with the Titan but the dispersion was a no brainer. I'll sacrifice 3-5 yards for that toightness.
I don't know how so many people on here already have a couple rounds in. I ordered mine on May 30th and was told it was on track for the 11th with the rest of the stock.

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

I ordered in may was to be a couple weeks before I received this but now they tell me late July!

[/quote]
Had the GTS2 delivered late last week and immediately put into play at member-guest. I hit it farther than any driver in last ten years, and the Titleist fitting a few weeks ago was spot on. My tendency to go too far left was not a problem anymore. Get fitted by an actual Titleist employed fitter because they will dial you in much better than big retailer. This club is a vast improvement over previous models, which I did not was possible becase GT and the previous model were superb. I play T350s and all Titleist gear and am a big proponent of their equipment.

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Well what can i say. I went to my local pro and got fit for a GTS 2 driver tensei red and a GTS2 4 wood tensei blue to upgrade from my TSR2s . Driver gave me an extra 6 mph ball speed roughly extra 10 yards distance. Brilliant, hit it 7 times during my round and a rattle started like a piece of glue knocking about in it. Strange as it stopped on my next round. Ive hit my 4 wood 3 times in the round, went to clean it yesterday and noticed a crack in the toe as photo shows took it back to my local pro and he has swapped the head for the demo until Titleist get back to him. Frustrated but hopefully everything gets sorted.www.titleist.com/.../dtvvnekuhp7ztgjvlfm9

RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

got my GTS 3-wood fitting at Long Cove Club and put my new club in the bag yesterday. I replace a 5-year old png as the data was showing 5 extra yards and more importantly higher loft. The first opportunity I had to hit the GTS was a 2nd shot on the par 5 sixth hole. Smack!! 220 yards right down the middle for a 90-yard wedge shot remaining (with my Vokey of course). Fitted early for GT2, which I thought was clear step up and so was fitted early for GTS2 for curiosity. It’s more forgiving and gets me a club or two closer for an approach.
