  1. Noticed on Facebook, that Titleist will be testing new golf balls in or around London in early September. Who is going? I can't make it down from Edinburgh, but sounds like a cool experience. Would be fun to hear back from any TT members, who might be going...

I've applied for it and now playing the waiting game to see if required :)
Fingers crossed although I suspect there may be a few things coming up soon due to someother rater eagerly awaited items being released around that time (One of which I'm very interested in as I didn't get fit for my current one and it feels a bit light when swinging).

I've never seen someone hit a shot out of a volcano crater before so I bet that was some feat to get it out of where you are standing :)
  3. @Paul: Haha, the volcano crater is the Hell Bunker at the Old Course in St. Andrews. Played there last year, and had to jump in the bunker for a quick photo session :o)

@AntD: I play the Pro V1 as well, but haven't tried the AVX yet. What did you particularly like about it?

@Tom+James: Fingers crossed for you boys!

Sorry I didn't reply earlier... What I like is the performance of the ProV1 but with the lower spin and ball flight off the driver without compromising the feel and performance in the short game.

Thanks to the #TeamTitleist UK and the product team from the US for giving me the opportunity to take part in the ball testing and focus group.

In todays focus group it was interesting to hear what the others preferred about the different test balls. We all had our own preference for differing reasons so I guess it only goes to show that you should consider getting fit for the right ball or at least doing comprehensive side by side testing, and that's why Titleist have 4 premium option balls (ProV1, ProV1x, AVX and Tour Soft).

It was good to have some who were playing other brands premium balls to hear what they thought of the test balls and how they though Titleist compared to their current ball.

Hopefully all our feedback will be helpful to Michael and his team and we will all benefit with even better balls from Titleist in the near future.

And of course thanks for the goodies.

I've applied as well... Quite fancy hitting some balls down Oxford Street or over the river Thames... Played the AVX for the first time yesterday played front 9 with ProV1 and back 9 with AVX. Very impressed..

I've applied and hopefully will be lucky enough to get selected. I'm located in Romford, Essex, so only 30mins from central London.

I’ve applied too as I’m really interested in pinning down the best ball for my game. Still a little unsure after the performance switch last year. After being a long-term user of V1s, I’ve switched to V1X.
Whilst I’ve got used to the firmer feel and am pretty happy with the results, there’s nothing like getting absolute proof that you are getting all you can from the most important part of your equipment!
    Eagerly anticipating an invitation...
    Fingers crossed!

Has there been any news on attendance for this? I’m nearing the end of my stash of Pro V1Xs and would love to have a chance to compare results against other models.

Sounds fascinating and would have been right up my street. Love playing around with facts and figures, always looking to maximise performance.
Would be up for ball testing at any time...
