    Hello TT members,

Winter is coming in the Netherlands. Tempatures dropping below 10 degrees. Not for #TeamTitleist players.. as mentioned on the TT news page I am going to stop caddying on the PGA European Tour. It's been wonderfull 10 years but it's now time to play my own golf. New Players 14 stand bag (yes, still missing my TT bag tag) , just got new AP2 718 irons & 4 new vokey wedges. I had €60,- euro left in my pocket so I thought let's invest it in the expensive Titleist Pro V1x. Guess what.. 5 pars and 4 bogeys.. not bad. You immediately feel the difference with Pro V1x. I am so happy I bought them, does anyone know why the WT stands for in one of the dimpels? And what are your winter FJ / Titleist gear?

I'm looking forward to read your winter experiences.

    Hi Bart,

We need to make the most of the current sunny/warm October and light before the clocks change in the UK this weekend.

I managed 3 competition rounds last week, 1st tee shot yesterday morning was into the fog. a and will use this week for practice. My game is improving which is frustrating with the changing course conditions and lack of playing opportunities in the coming months.

I'd be guessing but I think the WT might be the mould reference for the cover? As we all know Titleist are market leaders in quality so they would need to be able to track any issues #TrustTitleist

I'm gaming the AVX (although I still have a sleeve of ProV1x's to use up).

Handwarmers, beanie had and wet gloves are already in my bag in preparation. I was also thinking about lofting up my driver for a little more carry once the soft ground returns but my a TS2 3 wood is giving me a good carry distance so that is just a thought for now.

Who have you caddied for on the ET?

Enjoy playing more golf and keep warm.

  3. Hi Bart,

I posted you out a bag tag at the start of last week. Not sure on delivery times to The Netherlands so keep an eye out.
The WT stamped on the ball you are referring to is the batch reference for the ball factory in case we discover anything with a batch of balls that needs to be addressed.

    Kind regards

Hey Bart, couldn't find the mention you made on the news page. I'm keen to hear who you caddied for and some of your stories. You must have some great battle stories! I've always been fascinated with the role caddies play and the work they do for tour players

    Shoaib,

If you like the caddies inside on tour and the pro's can I suggest a couple of things for you to follow up?

    1. Steve Williams - Out of the Rough (insight into caddying for Tiger, Adam Scott and others)
    2. Earn your Edge Podcast which is sponsored by Titleist. Episode 17 has Jim 'Bones' Mckay (caddie to Phil Mickelson and others) who has some great stories from his time on tour.

Bart, any update on who's bag you have carried?

Thanks Ant - I've just finished with Tiger's "Unprecedented" and just reading about his approach and thinking when playing Augusta has actually helped me in my game.

Steve Williams' book sounds good - will actually make that my next read. I've heard Bones give some stories to the NLU and Golf Digest guys and enjoyed listening him. Phil once tipped a food cart guy $100 after buying a hot dog - no sauce, no bun!
