I can do various things with changing up my 52/54/60 wedges and bounces depending on course conditions.
But there will ALWAYS be a 56/14F in the bag. It has proven to be a fantastic "get out of jail" club for me.

I play a 50.12F, 56.12D and 60.04T. I absolutely love the versatility you get with having a high and low bounce option.

Im planning of going to a 3 wedge set up (46,52,58). I'm looking at going with a 54.12D @ 52 and a 58.06K (Wedgeworks LBK grind) with heel + trail edge relief added.

I think the Wedgeworks low bounce K grind with the heel + trail edge relief would make super versatile lob/sand combo wedge!

I guess having a low in one and a high bounce in the other would be more versatile in many different types of lies and course situations.

I went quite high with my bounces because I'm a bit of a digger

I have a 60 D grind with 12 degrees of bounce and I love using it around the greens including tight and awkward lies so I guess each to their own.

Thanks Charles. I have been hitting my current 60.10 S out of deep rough, and it is pretty good. I don't like it off tight lies or when opening the face. If I go with a low bounce LW, then I would try to adjust by hitting a high bounce 56 out of deep rough and soft bunkers. However, historically I have mainly only used a 60 degree from anything inside 80 yards, so I would have to learn to hit a 56 from these closer shots.

I think it just may come down to what give me the most options. Would this be a high bounce SW and low bounce LW, or maybe it would be simpler to get a 60.08M (or 62.08M) as a well rounded choice since it sounds like the low bounce L or T LW would be limited on some shots, and therefore I would need a high bounce 56 to compensate for some of the limitations of the low bounce?

Regarding my old 60.07 SM4, what current grind would that come closest to? I felt that was a nice well rounded wedge.

Depends what turf conditions you play and what you use your wedges for. I currently play a 46.10 F / 52.12 F / 56.10 S and a 60.04 L and its too many options.

I'm thinking of taking out the 56 and playing with a 46./52/58, as I am good at manufacturing different trajectories and distances with just a pitching wedge.

The L is the most versatile grind and is good for tight lies. A 60.04 T grind is also good, but custom WedgeWorks only.

If you find yourself hitting 60's in deep rough you will have to swap out for a higher bounce. A 60.04L will literally go right under the ball in some wet conditions.

Thank you for the reply. I live in the Midwest and play a variety of courses. I'm not a member anywhere, so the course condition question is always something difficult for me to answer. Generally in the spring the ground is softer, but then can get fairly firm in the summer and fall. My handicap is typically around 4-6 and my swing is more neutral rather than steep or shallow.

I like to be able to hit a wide variety of shots with the LW from inside 30 ish yards (slide under it to throw it up in the air or hit the low spinner), and I haven't felt like the S Grind is the most versatile, especially when I want to open it up off tighter lies. However, the S Grind has been decent out of bunkers for me. I may have to look into the 62.08M! (My set up then would be 50, 56, 62)

This isn't an easy answer without a lot more info regarding your swing and the conditions you generally play in. However, if you want to go the route you are suggesting, a 12* D grind sand wedge would work well with an 8*D Grind LW. They are very similar grinds, one mid bounce, the other higher bounce, but both work well with an open face.

For what it's worth, I use an SM8 54.12D sand wedge and a 58.12D lob wedge under most conditions. However, when things get real firm, I switch to a 58.08M LW. Hardly notice any difference, except I have more confidence with an open face off a firm tight lie (with the 08) for touchy chips. If I had room in my bag (which I don't), I'd likely add a 62.08M alongside my 58.12D and 54.12D. I have tried the 62 (in an SM7) and really like some of the options it gave me around the greens. I'm just not willing to give up any other club to get it in the bag on a regular basis.
