Wedge Play Wizardry | Part 4: Finesse Wedge Keys with Justin Thomas

From Dr. Rob Neal, Layne Savoie On September 17, 2020

In Part 4 of their in-depth wedge play seminar, Layne Savoie and Dr. Rob Neal, the co-founders of WedgeCraft, share the primary skills that Titleist Tour players use to play finesse wedge shots around... the green. Layne and Doc examine a variety of shots, ranging from 10 to 40 yards in carry distance, and provide insight into the fundamentals that players like Justin Thomas, Jason Dufner, Ian Poulter and others rely on to create solid contact, generate spin and control carry and roll-out. Layne and Rob reveal the importance of two key control variables in this staple shot (Angle of Attack and Shaft Lean) and they provide a challenging practice drill used by the great Seve Ballesteros that you can use to improve your technique and low point control in order to get up and down with much greater regularity.
