Had the same problem myself, worked out that my set up was'nt correct. So went back to basics and shifted the ball back in my stance to the correct position and fixed it straight away. but in the end it all comes down tto your connection with the ball…

Get a sleeve of each and play a round or golf.  Be sure to carry a notebook and a pencil..... Concentrate, hitting both balls each shot the first few holes.   Note which is longer, in fairway, on green, and if both are on the green -- which one is closer…
