You're actually the second player to ask my about that old, trusty, VS Proto.  I suspect you'll find very similar results in performance and feel.

It's possible the old 909H 15, and 19 can replace the performance of your current line up.

For a right hander, the 910 13.5 FD in C-1 setting will be the lowest three wood ever.  Shafts are a little more of a wild cars, but the Ahinas, RIPs, Fujikura 95, can possibly influence lower shots.

    T. Tiger,

Just wondering how you liked the change from the 690mbs's to the ap2's? Ive been using the 690mb's for about 7 years now and recently purchased the cb710's. I was between the ap2s and the cbs. Thought the ap2's might have been just a tad more…

    Nice playin T.

I just got back, 60's windy. Thought about my problems last night, during the winter I went to a strong grip, easier to swing with lots of clothes. But I'm a weak grip player. So when the clothes started coming off I was trying to swing…

    Hey John,

I play a D3. I'm not saying the sound is muted. All i'm saying is it sounds more solid than the competitors. It feels as if i'm swinging a hammer. Unlike the competitors where the sound is like hitting a pipe.
