Just guessing, in that I play in a senior men's league, we call the Rascals, which you could appreciate. Were sometimes shooting 100 by some of our group, enjoyment of the game is a top priority. At the ripe young age of 73, that is mine. Here is my recommendation for you. Purchase a sleeve of these and give it a go or can pick up a dozen at Walmart for a reasonable price. Will not break the bank on any of our retirement checks. With respect and have fun.

Titleist "TruFeel" is the softest Titleist golf ball with low spin for long distance along with excellent control into and around the green.
  2. The only way to find out for sure is to try other balls.Consider the fact that a ball will carry approximately 2.5 yards/mph club head speed, I would say you are way ahead of the curve with what you are using.Stay with the Pro V's

Is it all about distance now? Thanks Bryson...

I've played to ProV1 since 2000. I recently tried the AVX. I do like it off the tee. It spins a ton less and allows the ball to cut through the air a little more. The feel is similar to a Prov1, a touch harder feeling. But it stops just as well on the green. I love the way it feels off of the putter head. It has a very positive feel and rolls very true. Im going to play with them for the next few weeks to see if I can tell a huge difference.
  5. I agree with the previous posts about testing different golf balls yourself to understand and quantify feel.

I work in a pro shop with a simulator. Having tested the AVX ball, I liked that it was lower spin and trajectory with the feel of a high quality golf ball, i.e. Pro V. You may also consider the new Tour Speed ball. Haven't tested it yet but the commercial on GOLF channel is nearly burned into my brain..."Faster than Bridgestone Tour B RX...faster than Taylor Made Tour Response..." So that ball may help with distance.

Anyone familiar with the EXP-01's? My shop keeps getting random shipments in. The ball sells but is still a mystery to me.

My understanding is that the EXPs were the prototype for the Tour Speed. I'm not sure what changes may have been made to the EXP to create Tour Speed. As I recall, the price point for EXP was comparable to the Pro V. Assuming I'm correct, I'm not sure why someone would buy the EXP for $10 - $15 more per dozen over the Tour Speed.

You may want to try the new Tour Speed. Played this weekend and with my medium swing speed saw an improvement in distance, roll out and stopping on green. Pick up a sleeve and give a try
