I bought the TS2 last season when it first came out and have been happy  with the performance.   But, I have always considered cutting the shaft to 45 " from the 45.5". My 917 was 45 " and I guess I was used to that length.   I did it last week after a Titleist demo at my home course and have to say that I am extremely satisfied with the results.  I also added a +2 gr  weight to the bottom, as recommended by Titleist, to bring the swing weight back to D2.  I know that it is only a .5" difference, but that difference has made the world of difference to me.  Maybe it is in my head, but I feel so much more confident over the ball at address, and the ball goes where I want it to much more consistently.  Choking down did not give the same results as cutting the shaft, as I was trying that for the last 3 weeks.
