I have a couple of questions regarding registration numbers on Titleist clubs.
1. Are the numbers specific to the club or to me? This year, I cycled through all the clubs in my bag -- replaced irons, 910H, 910Fd, and 910D3. All were fitted by a certified Titleist fitter, but I have four separate registration numbers for my various shafts and such. Should I have provided my first registration number when getting fit for each new club, so the settings could be combined? I guess it doesn't matter. Just wondering.
2. Given that things sometimes change over time, can the specs be changed? For example, I'm experimenting with different grip sizes. Now that I'm pretty well settled, I want to make some updates.
They are club specific. Something customer specific would be cool, but then every time you bought new clubs there would be another set with the same serial number.....kinda confusing, and probably couldn't be handled by the computer.
They might keep customer name then a list of the serial numbers they have bought........since they have a "register your clubs" they probably do this.
So they keep record of how the clubs were built.
