I am buying a 910 D3 and am trying to figure what shaft to get. I hit the ball high and with a bit too much spin, I do not ballon the ball but get very little roll. I currently play a Proforce V2 76X in a 8.5 Hibore XL tour. I have had good success with this shaft so I am contemplating whether to get the same shaft and have it tipped or try another shaft that would dramatically lower the amount of backspin and launch. My swing speed is 113-115 and 120 if I want to jump on it. Is there any shaft option that I would be better off with?

    Jeff-

I can relate to your experience as I have encountered a similar scenario in the past with my own golf game.  Ironically enough, I am currently playing a 910 D2 with a ProForce V2 76X and I am pleased with the amount of roll I am getting with the setup I have.  My advice to you would be to try to find a Fitting Day near your location so you can get a really good idea of what you're looking for by seeing the trajectory of the golf ball.  Even some swings on a simulator would work.  Before addressing the issue any further, it would be good to have numbers such as launch angle and spin rate so you can pinpoint what shaft characteristics you're looking for.

    Best of luck,

    DH

I would recommend the R.I.P shaft. for your swingspeed you may be between a stiff and extra stiff shaft. I'd choose the R.I.P 60 out of the three 60,70, and 80 as it is the lightest. I gained 5 mph of swing speed of of the change from the mishubishi shaft to the Alida shaft.

+1 The RIP 60 stiff shaft is great when paired with the correct settings.

I have the same problem with to much spin and I just ordered the 910 D3 with the Motore 7.1 I have hit it before and it is a really good shaft. I hope you get a chance to try it out..
