Currently using an Ahina 80S in my 913D3. Would like it to go into my 913FD as I purchased an Ahina 70S for my driver. Do I need to tip it anymore or can I just butt cut it to length?
Thanks,
Dewey

Assuming you are looking at a 13.5° or 15° fairway, we would tip it an additional 1/2" and butt cut to length.
If I didn't choose to tip trim the additional 1/2" you recommend and just butt cut to length, how would shaft perform???

The Fd is a 2013 - wouldn't the sure-tip also need to be replaced with the F/H 2013 tip to move it from driver?
Good catch - yes, the fairway shaft adaptor is different than the driver adaptor so Dewey, you would need to send it back to us if you want a new fairway adaptor on it (assuming the Ahina 70 was purchased with the adaptor and built by us). As far as tipping, if you don't tip it, it will just play softer. If you want to experiment with it, you may want to leave it 1/2" long so if you decide to tip it later, you will have the room.
