I started to play golf again this past summer after a 15 year layoff.I suffered a major stroke at the age of 36 and it took a few years to recover and to get used life after losing the vision in my right eye and 75% of my hearing.I didn't think I could ever play golf again, but I was more afraid of embarassing myself on the course.I got brave and bought some TM products off the rack and gave it a try.Needless to say with the help and patience from some great golf buddies I found I can still play, shooting mid 80s with the occasional low 90s, my best round was 81.I am now hooked on this great game and now I want to be fit for Titleist clubs.I stopped by a local shop to get information on fitting and the employee told me he could do a full bag fit in 20 minutes. That just didn't sound right to me.I have small handicaps and some physical limitations with my legs and I just want to do this fitting right.I was looking for some advice on if the Advanced Fitting or even the Regional fitting centers would be the best fit for me.Also what is the cost of fitting and are there any of these fitting centers around the Youngstown,Ohio area? Any advice would be very helpful.

Congratulations on overcoming that kind of setback to be back in the game.

My local big box can fit me in 20 minutes, but they only have 1 iron, 2 drivers, 1 fairway, and 1 hybrid head, and about 2-3 shafts for each head in their bag, as I am left-handed.  Not counting putter, anything less than 2 hours is not very in depth.  Just hitting your current set for a baseline should take longer than 20 minutes.

Dealers, including Advanced Fitting Centers are allowed to charge for fitting with some latitude on the club price.  You can check to see if any AFCs will discount/absorb the fitting charge if you purchase the set from them.

We would recommend contacting Joe Willinger over at Windmill Lakes in Ravenna, OH.  His number is  330-297-0440
