Titleist 913 D3 w/ GD Tour AD DI 7 stiff

    I purchased a new GD tour AD DI 7 stiff - black shaft for my driver, looking to improve accuracy while maintaining distance. I'm building my driver to 44.5" length & using a 14 g weight to get back to the stock D4 swingweight. When installing the Tour AD 7 shaft into the surfeit adaptor should I tip 1/2" first to maintain the proper flex? Has anyone had any experience using the DI 7 shaft in the driver?

    UPDATE: Great combo! Came out to D3.5 when finished, tipped shaft 1/2", feels a little soft however that could just be the overall shaft profile. Now just waiting for the weather to cooperate to see if the ball will get some run distance on it.

    I have the 913D3 with the AD DI 7X and it's an absolute beast.  Love the flight and spin I get from it.  Very dependable set up.

    Hope it works well for you when the weather clears.

    I too have this combo and have to say, I'm not sure I'll be changing my driver for a very long time.
