Was fit last week for the new T200 and had a great experience. Such an improvement over my current irons, but I have one question that I forgot to ask at the fitting. I’ve read that Titleist uses fitting heads with +2 in fittings, in other words Titleist doesn’t actually bend the irons 2 degrees strong or upright, they’re built that way with no loss to bounce. Is this true?

The lofts are the lofts. Titleist does use 2 heads in building for lie. Neutral and +2. They can the adjust lie from -2 to +4 without bending a head more than 2 degrees. Changing lie angle does not materially change the bounce like adjusting the loft does.

Since Titleist is so precise in measurements when building clubs, I’d have to believe the standard fitting heads are set at the advertised lie and loft. Fitting at 2 degrees upright, how would the club built react if at the advertised lie on delivery?

Titleist do produce heads 2 degrees upright to facilitate being upright an additional 2 degrees, but, I believe the loft would be standard allowing for +/- 2 degrees loft adjustments

If it were me, I would go back to the individual that fit you for those new beauties. Give him a call. =)
