  1. Been eyeing new clubs for years now. I seldom play because I have super old no name cavity backs that were built for me 25+ years ago. I got a Uneekor Eye Mini Lite for my 11 year old son and I since he just got jr clubs from grandpa. Figured it would be fun to do in the basement and give me an excuse to swing my clubs more.

Just had a session of 21 balls from my 35 degree 7 iron. Threw away 3 shots leaving 18. I compared it to trackman tour averages. All my strikes seem relatively centered on the face according to the slo mo video replays. If anything I have a tendency to get a little toe-y, but these averages wouldn't include those bad ones. This matches what I experience on course.

    Data Point My 7 Iron Trackman Average Carry 147.7 172 Smash 1.235 1.33 Club Spd 89.87 90 Ball speed 111 120 Backspin 7949 7097 L. angle 17.66 16.3 Dec. angle 45.29 50 Apex 27.44 32 Att. Angle -2.26 -4.3

I'm launching a little higher with more spin, so I'd expect that to have a higher apex and a steeper decent at the sacrifice of distance, but I'm not. Am I really just seeing the effects of 25 year old technology and the lack of distance and forgiveness that comes from not hitting absolute dead center?

Yes, I believe you are seeing the affects of older iron design.

High center of gravity with traditional lofts.
