I currently use the tour soft balls but I’m thinking of trying out the pro v”s what differences can I expect? Cheers for your advice as usual....

2 ways to look at this. One is the "window" that you expect a good shot to fly in. Technically you're looking for the optimal spin and launch for your best distance. This can be an advantage for slower swing golfers to use the Pro-V1x. The other impact is on short irons and pitches, do you generate enough spin to get the control you expect for green stopping power. Ultimate stopping power is a combination of shot control, wedge groves, and a urethane cover. Both on course experience and a technical evaluation such as a ball fitting will help you decide which of the 3 will best suit your game for your best scoring. While the Tour Soft is not a urethane cover, it can still be a good choice depending your expectations. Hitting greens with short putts is the best scoring potential. That's why Titleist recommends a green to tee trial. Any Titleist ball will be long on driver but we all putt for dough.

Hi Tosh. I’m off 19 and a ball fitting really helped me. I’d been talked by the local AG shop into buy a dozen AVX but I couldn’t keep the balls on the green on approach.

It turns out I’m a low spin iron hitter and using low spin balls combined with the hard ground summer conditions was hurting my game. The fitter put me straight onto ProV1X without letting me see what I was hitting. I loved the high flight and the balls were stopping dead - both were great for my confidence.

I’m so glad I had a fitting and I wouldn’t swap my X’s for anything now.

Get yourself fitted ASAP - you won’t regret it.

I found a tour soft and played a round with it. I found it to play well but it was no surprise that prefer the ProV1x.

Ball fitting. Why make a change without the empirical evidence to back it up?
