My son was digging through my old practice bag earlier when he found some old balls he had never seen before. It got me wondering how many varieties of Titleist balls I own?

It turns out the answer is 29! (depending on how strict you are.) I’m only sad that I don’t have any Professionals from the 1990s but seeing as I was a poor teenager then and I only had them if I found them and I usually lost or cut them straight away, I’m not really that surprised!

What are your memories? Do you have a favourite old ball and can you beat me?

As a poor teenager also, I had plenty of Titleist X outs but the Professional was my go to ball for matches.

I too have played with a number of them over the years.
I can’t say I had a favourite ball back then,
but it always had to be Titleist.

Right now I only have pro v’s in my bag
    Best balls by far!!

I used to find and sell golf balls,
I must have shifted 100,000+ easily.

I found a couple of very old Titleist ones that are older than me, I’ve kept them and gave them to my dad to keep.
One day they might be worth something lol.

Ahhh, the days of the Titleist X outs. But further back than that the Acushnet Club Special!. And oh those balatas that one missed shot and there they were smiling back at you with the smirk smile cut, just good enough to hit a practice shot into the woods with.

I've been playing Titleist balls since late 1970s - my high school years and I think I played everyone of those balls a few times!!!
