  1. I always love the new pro v but I’m getting on so we’ll with the 2021 prov1x that I can see myself moving anytime soon.

What are your thoughts and experiences on this?

    Cheers

    Alex,

The 2021 ProV1x was great but if you have not tried the 2023 version, you should. As an X player myself, I noticed the difference right away. I'm glad I don't have to worry about a new update anytime soon as the 2023 X is fantastic. Technology is only getting better so at some point the older versions just wont perform close to the new ones.

I know that Touring Pros play older versions but I think they are starting to convert as the technology and numbers are showing it warrants change.

I also did my own side by side testing of 2021 v 2023 X versions. I played 9 holes with each version side by side. I rotated what version I teed off with so that it was a better balance as the "second swing" is sometimes better. The results spoke for themselves for me and why I gave away my last 3 dozen of the 2021 version.

Well, you’d better stock up on them. My local franchise has a stock of prior editions but I thought they were mostly V’s.

I can tell the difference but the 2023 isn’t a game changer from the 2021. Not being a low single digit player…. So if you like the 2021 and can keep a supply, then do it. Rumor is there may still be a couple of pro’s still using ‘17 or ‘19 versions.

I’m still playing the’21 but only because I have a couple of dozen or so left over. The buy 3 get 4 deal for ‘23 is waiting in the wings.

I am not one to loose a lot of balls so my old supply is lasting a bit longer than expected. I finally finished my 348 Protos but am now playing some prior generation ProV1x with TT logos. When those run out, I will be in 2023 ProV1x exclusively.

Still playing the previous Prov1 models. Still have a dozen and three quarters left of the previous 3/4 promo. Need to use those up. Have purchased eight dozen of the 2023 models, played them in the testing period in the fall. Love the new model but not one that looses a lot of golf balls, either. Time is on my side. Looking forward to breaking them out. Will have them at the TT event in Scottsdale.

Still playing through my 2021 V's which I love. But have 6 dozen 2023's waiting in the wings for their turn. I did do a comparison this spring & am excited to play the new 2023's but not until I am done with 2021.

Gonna be honest, I couldn't tell you which year the Left Dash I play is. I typically order the 4-for-3 in the beginning of the year and re-order once I run out. That could be the same season, or that could be 2 seasons later, depending on how Im playing at any given time. Ha.
  8. Was playing 2021 Pro V. Made the switch to the 2023 Pro V1X and couldn't be happier. Took a couple of rounds to get comfortable with the feel, but now I love it. Fantastic ball. I needed more spin with my irons and could use a boost in height at times. Really a fantastic ball.

23 V1X is the best ball I have ever played!!!. I still have 2 dz of 21 V1X, but can't bring myself to use them up over the 23 model because it is so good.

I still have some 2021 inventory I'm working through but I do still mix in a 2023 version some times. Great ball.
