I belong to an indoor range near my house that exclusively uses the PRO V1x RCT.

If I am practicing/collecting all of my data with those balls should I in turn be using those on the course as well?

The RCT only differs from the X by having a marker picked up by the tracking device. Hitting into a screen the tracking device algorithms are not as accurate as following the ball down range. The RCT provides some corrective for that. Previously, some devices required metal dots applied to balls and/or club face.

So, use the standard X outdoors. Just like the tour does with a Trackman behind the tee boxes.

Your choice, they are used to collect data by fitters. They run around $70 a dozen. I would play the regular Prov1s/Prov1x.
