Help identifying a ball

    Hello, I found this ball awhile back and haven’t seen one like it before. As you can see in the pics, it has ProV1 stamped on the front and a pattern of oblong black dashes encircling the center of the ball. If anyone can give me more information about it, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!

    It looks like it might be an old fitting ball, at least that is my guess.

    Kinda looks like a testing ball to my eye. I could be wrong, it's been a long time since I was in the know with TOUR stuff, but back in the day Titleist used abstract optical patterns on their test balls. I'm trying to embed a photo here, but can't seem to figure out how. I'm working on a Mac, can anyone help me out?

    I have never seen one like that, but I would make the same guess. Probably some form of fitting ball used by Titleist.

    I would bet it’s a fitting ball. I also have one with different marks on it. Mine has green and orange dots on it.

    I remember seeing something similar with putter fittings. My guess , along with everyone else, is that it must be a testing/fitting ball. Good question. Love this forum. I thought I was the only one who could talk golf 24/7
