In developing Titleist golf ball products, our long-standing mission has been to offer golfers the highest degree of performance, quality and consistency in the game. More recently, we have pursued an additional goal that is equally important – expanding our product offerings to serve a wider range of golfers and their specific performance needs and preferences. This is why we offer not one, but a choice of four models in the Titleist premium golf ball lineup.

Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash and AVX are designed with distinct differences in Flight, Spin and Feel. Identifying the right golf ball for your individual game, with just the right combination of these characteristics is what we mean by optimizing performance.

If you're serious about your game, it's worth exploring this concept because playing the right golf ball is game-changing.

If you're currently playing a golf ball model that flies too low or too high, you can strike an iron shot perfectly, but watch as your ball hits the putting surface and bounds over the back edge of the green. Or you can experience shots that balloon upward and drop out of the sky, consistently short of your target.

If your golf ball spins too much or too little you might lose significant distance on your tee shots. Or you might lose control on your chips and pitch shots, costing you strokes every round you play.

And if your current golf ball feels or sounds too soft or too firm, did you know that it can impair your sense of touch and affect your distance control with your putter? Not to mention your general sense of confidence as you stand over the ball.

Yet far too often, golfers blame themselves for poor shots when, in fact, their ill-fitting golf balls are to blame.

Start optimizing your performance and find the golf ball that works for you, not against you. The first step is easy. Visit the Titleist Golf Ball Selector Tool. Share some details about your game, find out which golf ball model best matches your needs and preferences, and start playing to your true potential.

Always comes up Prov1. Have played the left dash, left dot, Prov1x, and AVX for short periods of time and always come back to the Prov1. Did testing in fall 2022 with the white box and 388 won out. Guess it is a marriage that is meant to be. =)

Great insight on the importance of the right ball. I switched to the avx and love the performance I get from it.

Great advice! I used the Ball Selector Tool and the Test Sleeves. The AVX is still my ball of choice!
  5. Does anyone ever get fit into the Tour Speed?
I’ve played it a few times. Bought a sleeve at the course one day to try it.
It’s long off the tee and has some good spin.
Just curious if anyone does play it on the regular.
Price point isn’t bad really. AVX and proV’s in Canada are pricey.

I tried Tour Speed and found the same results, longer for woods and irons, spin was as good as AVX. Chips and putts feel firmer. Keeping in play for now.

Started ProV1, then NXT Tour (because of the price), then ProV1x, now just went back to the ProV1 after fitting revealed other than ball flight I didn't gain much with the firmer X.
  8. choosing the right golf ball is very necessary to play golf successfully. i have started ProV1. visit
  9. Depending on the course conditions and the weather, I alternate between all four of the Titleist premium golf balls - AVX, Left Dash, Pro V1, and Pro V1x. It may sound unconventional, but it works well for me.

I had a Titleist golf ball fitting and ended up with the X. I love the firm feel and high spin. Too often, high spin is associated with loss of distance, especially off the driver. I learned that spin, for me, is what gives me distance. I started hitting drives 30 yards further with the X, because it's the correct ball for my swing.

I wish the ball selector tool took into account long game spin characteristics. I think that would be a helpful question to get people who want high bombs, w/ stopping power and low spin into the Left Dash.
  12. After chatting with a ball fitter, I switched to the Titleist Tour Soft, and love it! Great balance of feel, control, and distance!!

Main reason for using it over a ProV1 outside of cost, is the lines. I absolutely love the T line for putting!
  13. I was a prov1 or nothing guy, but I've been using the Tour Speed mostly this year. Long off the tee, great iron shots but not as grippy on chips and pitches. Freld good off my phantom 5.5
