It's a good ball. I played it a few years ago when I was just starting my Titleist addiction. Softer with less spin and more run out. I think the AVX would be comparable. As I got better, I moved up to my current Pro V1.

The Tour Soft is a fine choice. There is a lot of information about it on this website. My experience has been that it is a good ball for distance with both Driver and approach shots. Was kind of hard to get it to stop on the green. I have a slower swing speed than most so your experience could be different. Also found that, for the money, the TruFeel is an excellent choice. It has pretty good stopping power on the green for a value priced ball.

I converted to the Tour Soft this year with the Tour Speed model being discontinued. Like the feel of the Tour Soft but for me, slightly more distance with the Tour Speed. Overall, the Tour Soft is a a quality ball, feels great off the putter, and provides spin characteristics that allow me to control/stop the ball on the green.
