There was a nice surprise in the mail Friday in the form of a white box from Titleist. Was pleasantly surprised to receive a half dozen of the new version Left Dash golf balls. I've been a Left Dash player since the original came out in 2018 and have been looking forward to this new version. I was able to get out and play my first round with the new version today. It's 53 degrees here in Michigan and a beautiful day for fall golf. Ill get to a more complete review after another round and a sim session but my first impression is all positive. Very consistent launch (seemingly lower than the previous version) with the driver and irons. I didnt notice much of a distance change from the previous version however, the dispersion seemed better, especially with longer irons and driver. As expected, shot patterns were very predictable. Approach shots and chipping/pitching had excellent stopping power. A slightly more noticeable "click" off the putter. Overall, the feel was better than I expected too. Thank you Titleist for the early peek. Ill follow up with some more details after I get a chance to compare spin and launch info against the previous Left Dash version on the sim.

Congrats, that is one happy mail box surprise. I've played Left Dash exclusively since they came out and am so thankful they are in the full time lineup.
  3. Hey Brian, what differences have you noticed between the pro v1x and the pro v1x left dash on the course?

For me the left dash has noticeably less spin than the pro v1x. Off the tee I get that same higher ball flight that I prefer with less of a chance of that spinny shot that falls out of the sky. The short game around the green for me has always had predictable spin (as expected) so I dont recall there being much difference there - Ive been playing the left dash since it's inception in '18 so if there is a difference it's probably minimal.

That's a great surprise Brian! I can't wait to hear how they are compared to the standard.

Hopefully I'll find some in my mailbox soon!!

Interesting how the newest left dash has a lower ball flight. You would think that would lead to lower carry.

I’ve been playing Left Dash exclusively since they came out and recently got a hold of Left Dot.

I’ll start testing inside with my Foresight LM to capture data in a closed environment but I tend to test out on course as well.

Please share your numbers. Getting out on the course was easier than SIM.

Figs, the statement about lower ball flight probably needs some clarification. I haven't been to the sim though to get numbers yet but my (now 3) rounds with the new left dash seem to have a lower peak height off the tee certainly. It appears to my eye that the flight pattern through the bag seems "flatter." That is compared to the previous generation left dash. Compared to the pro v1 and the left dot the overall flight is definitely higher than those through the bag, and that is what my game needs. Previously I would have at least 4 or 5 shots a round that balloon and fall out of the sky, it's a small sample size right now, but I haven't had any of those in the 3 rounds I've played.

Congrats I also received a white test box and despite the 53 degree weather played 2 rounds. I fully agree on dispersion, my driver pattern was tighter. I’m curious on your thoughts with putting. I putted my standard left dash and the white box and found the click is similar but the feel you mentioned. To me it was softer and the more I thought back to full shots it I couldn’t remember a noticeable feeling of firmer. Now I preface that because the swing speed makes most things feel like thin air. However, on chip shots the left dash leaves me wanting more precision the ball tends to roll out more than I’d like. When you test the putter and focus on feel does the white box feel softer?
