  1. My nephew has just turned eight and has really gotten the golf bug. He is all in after his first tournament and as a good uncle, I thought I could get him some good golf balls for Christmas.

I've never seen any discussion about golf balls for juniors, but I figured he would be better served starting out with good golf balls, rather than the cheapest golf balls. I have no idea what his swing speed is but I would assume lower compression and higher spin would probably be a good start, but I might be completely wrong.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Agree that the highest spinning balls probably would be best for him. ProV1x in the high end or TrueFeel in the economy ball.

Work with his parents. Without knowledge of his size or skill at age 8, a softer ball like a TruFeel or Tour Soft may well suit him. Unless, of course, he has a pro recommending a Pro-V1.
