    Robert,

There are a few options I would recommend.  The AP2 would be my first option, as they are a forged iron with great feel, improved MOI, and great workability.  There are also the CBs and MBs that offer maximum workability, but are a little less forgiving then the AP2s.  All iron models can be ordered individually to your preference, allowing you to order all of one iron model or mix the set.  Depending on how good of a ball striker you are, one iron may play to your preference over the other.  To see more about these iron models check out http://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/irons/default.aspx.

I would rather play 2,3,4(high irons) AP2, with a more blade like CB's for 5,6,7,8,9,P(low irons). The AP2 will make longer shots easier and the CB will give you more control over the ball from closer to the green.

First of all, I might be biased because I play AP2's but, once again, if you do want to mix your set, the AP2 would be a better option for the longer clubs, in my opinion, than the CB's. I'll tell you why. I am a 7 handicap and I prefer to have alot of control closer to the green(175-) but from farther out(175+) I like to have some forgiveness and a little help getting the ball up and to the green. If you really want to mix then I would play 3456 AP2, 789PW CB. The other way seems backwards to me, but if it feels right to you then go with it. I play a full set of AP2's 3-P and then have Vokey Wedges 52,56,60, and I absolutely love my set. The AP2's offer plenty of control from far out and from close to the green so you can manipulate your shots however you like.
