Bob,
There is no handicap classification for what iron you would play. This is one reason why we would encourage you to get fit. Working with a certified Titleist Fitter, they would be able to determine which iron model gives you the best ball speed, consistency, and workability to fit your game.

Cameron,
I am a first year College golfer and am looking to upgrade from my Titleist ZB's for this coming season. I currently play them with PX 6.0 and was wondering what would be recommended for the upcoming line. I live in Rochester, NY and I will demo the clubs first but I also wanted to try the DG tour issue shafts and KBS C-taper, I'm not sure if there is anywhere that offers demos for these shafts?
Alex,
We will offer those same Project X 6.0 in the new 712 line. One of preferred fitters in your area will be Penn-Fair Golf, but they may not have those shafts (C-Taper or DTI). One of our five Regional Fitting Centers in the country is in Scarborough, NY and they will have the largest shaft matrix to choose from. The Regional Fitting Center is Sleepy Hollow Country Club and the Fitter there is Kevin Sprecher.

I just got fitted today for 712 CB's. Unbelieveable experience, just awesome. I got the KB shafts, 6.7. I would have been able to walk out of there with them today as they were already sent a full set but he is putting those shafts in so they will be done in a couple days. Pretty cool, I am pumped! Too bad I wont actually get to hit them til next spring because all the courses where I live are going to close in a couple days.
I just got fitted for the 712 CB's the other day as well. I absolutely love them, but i was wondering what the benefits are of different shafts? is the difference really that noticable for me to consider tinkering with it?
The difference is amazing. I am certainly no pro, so I didnt think it would matter. But the fitter was telling me about spin rates and other stuff that affects height of the shot. I currently have way too high of a spin rate which makes my golf ball go too high and costing me distance. With my old 6 iron it was 7800 rpm. I tried 3 or 4 different shafts and the same shots got my spin rate down below 6000. That is the big thing, trajectory control and spin rate.
