I am currently playing the Razr MB and am thinking about making the switch to the 712 MB's. Can anyone provide any info/feedback on the 712 MB's. I love the Razr MB's... however, I am not in Love with them. I've used that before I think!!! Thanks

    Jrfouche,

The 712 MBs will have a narrower sole and more heel relief then previous models.  This will help provide for better turf interaction then we have ever had out of our MB irons.  They will also come in a satin finish instead of the previous chrome finish in the 712.

  3. I don't have either...yet. At the demo day that I ordered my 712 MB's I had my choices narrowed down to the Razr MB and 712 MB. I found the razr's to be less crisp when hit solid. They were deffinetly solid, but sounded nothing like the 712's. I cant wait for mine to get here, you should deffinetly look into them!

I think it would help if you indicate your handicap. reason I say this is that a Lot of people play MB irons as they are looking nice but do not have the game to get the optimum out of it. I say this with respect and I know people have their own reasons dfor liking their clubs. Tour players use MB,CB and even AP1 irons to great success. Select what you feel will give you confidance and play the best golf. My experiance is that both are fantastic irons. some people will love the looks of the one better than the other. on feel, I have always played Mizuno as they "feel" great and are nice to look at. after 22 years of playing of 1,2,3 handicap I have decided to try CB irons, after testing a number odf sets, I selected the Adams CB1. They feel as good as Mizuno, or any or the other brands, the CB gives me higher ball flight with the PX 6.0 shafts and my handicap droped 2 shots in 2 months. Sorry for the long story. my point pick the club you like, there are many great sets out there.

To start my handicap has rocked between 4.2 & 6.0 all year. My highest this year was when I was playing the Diablo Edge Forged. The inconsistency with yardages of the clubs drove me to the callaway fit van. There I decided to move to Razr MB's. Scores started dropping. However, I have grown to be unhappy with the Callaway QA Team if they even have one. Reason I say that is because I lost a club head in the woods on what turned out to be the best 8 iron shot I've ever hit on a 172yrd par 3. My club now keeps an extra set on hand for me. My club pro @ Old Hickory in St. Peters, MO is a titleist guy that plays 712 AP2's. Both Pro's Mike & Brian @ Whitmoor in Weldon Spring, MO play. My PGA instructor TJ Valvo plays Cleveland's, and they all say the same thing. Play the ones you hit the best. TJ seems to think I hit the Razr MB's great. However, he's never seen me hit the 712 MB's. This may sound odd but I am more of a look guy than a sound guy. Both clubs look great to me. I think it's going to come down to QA. I'm leaning towards the 712's but I just wanted some feedback.
