Cathy and Titleist are both top notch (you seem cool too Cameron).  She's helped me out with a couple of things.  I thought my hozel was separating on my 910F, but the guy at GG tightened it up and I haven't had a problem since. She was all ready for me if I did need to send it in.

Enjoy your AP2s.  They're top notch.

  5. Cameron,

I'm new to Team Titleist and am not sure how to post a question.  This is my question - I currently own a set of Titleist AP2 irons that have the Project X shafts (stiff) in them.  I'm considering getting a set of the new AP2's when they come out, and I've noticed that they come standard with the Dynamic Gold shaft that I've always played prior to the set of irons I have now.  Just curious, why the change back to the Dynamic Gold?  I'm a low ball hitter, and was just wondering what the difference in the 2 shafts are, and which shaft would be best for me.  With my driver, my swing speed is 102 - 104 mph.  Thanks, Walter

Cameron, I am a qualified fitter but it is not my day job. I am a golf nut and enjoy reading and playing with equipment, I play of a 3 handicap and have tried lots of combinations. If you have a low ball flight you can do a number of things equipment wise to get a higher flight. 1. The AP2 irons have a lower Centre of Gravity and will give a higher ball flight. the Dynamic Gold shafts are low flight shafts so this combination will still give you a mid flight due to the irons and the shaft combination. may tour players and good golfers plat the AP2 clubs with DG shafts as it give the forgiveness of the AP2 club with a low ball flight from the DG shafts. a great combination. However some people such as myself struggle with a low flight and even the AP2/DG combianation still give me a low flight especially on the long irons. I dont want to replace my long irons with hybrids as I find the irons more accurate then the hybrids. so I play simaler clubs to the AP2's with the Project X Flighted shafts. a lot of people tolf me the flighted PX shafts are junk and they hit the ball to high. well in my case the "AP2/Project X flighted 6.0 (my clubs Idea Pro CB1 black 3 to pw)" combination is working very well. I play a lot of golf in the wind and sometimes very strong winds, and I find this combination very good. The KBS shafts are good and also give a higher flight, I have a set of MP 63's with KBS Tour S flex my driver swing speed 105 to 108. the short and mid irons are great but the long irons are a struggle. So I would say, AP2's with ProjectX Flighted 5.5 or 6.0

    Walter,

You can post questions by going to "Discussions" and choosing a topic you would like to talk about or have a question related to.  Once you've chosen the topic related to what you want to talk about, you will see "Add New Topic".  Click on that and it will allow you to post.

If you are a low ball hitter, then the Project X will help flight the ball higher than a DG will.  Depending upon how low you flight the ball, you may want to consider other options such as Dynamic Gold High Launch or Nippon 970.  We have a handful of shafts that will help increase your ball flight, but finding the optimal ball flight with a Club Fitter is highly recommended.  The DG shafts have become stock in our AP2 irons because of how they perform with the iron and how well they were received with the general public.

    Hope this helps!
