Shaft Choice for Hybrids?

    It is finally time to break down and put a hybrid in my bag. I have been using my 980F 19 degree fairway as a pseudo replacement for years, but my wife was kind enough to say she would by me a hybrid for Valentine's Day. I have never used a hybrid, other than in stores and demo days. So I am wondering about what shaft to order? Should the shaft be match my iron shafts (DG S300) or my Driver (A'hina XStiff), or my fairways, (Titleist Speeder Stiff), or something in between? This is new ground for me, so thanks for the help.

    Bill,

    The trend has been for players to lean more towards a shaft with similar specs to their fairway metals.  Although, some players have preferred steel, but that is slowly fading away with all the technology involved in the graphite shafts.  I would recommend seeing a local Club Fitter, who can analyze your ball flight and suggest a shaft.  Below are a couple suggestions of Fitting Centers near you:
