    Hi,

    today i had pulled the head of my 909 Hybrid and it´s filled with a kind of gel.

    Is this normal?

    I haven't heard of this, and I did a search for it and couldn't find anything regarding that. Is the gel still in the "gel" form, or has it solidified? I only ask because the only thing I could think of would be the glue that was used to glue the head to the shaft. I will be constantly looking to see if you found an answer. Sorry I couldn't help.

    That is not normal. The only thing remaining on the shaft and inside the hosel should be the original epoxy residue which is dry. If you purchased the club used and the club has been worked on before, it's possible it could have been swingweighted or a rattle fixed using a gel type substance. This can expand when the head is heated and come up through a hole at the bottom of the hosel. If the club is all original from Titleist however, this hole will be sealed. You should be able to clean the gel up with alcohol or acetone and shaft the club. Most likely it is still structurally sound and will play normally.

    We did use "rat glue" in our 909 heads to help achieve certain swing weights.  It is a glue, so it would be positioned somewhere in the head that wouldn't effect the ball flight, and may only be seen when looking deep into the head.

    When i changed weightscrew in my 910F my club head was full of gel. hardly got the weight out as it was stuck in the gel. should i wash the inside of the head to get it out or just let it stay in the head?
