Many people pose the question "...what irons should I be playing..."  The best answer is go to a range (preferably with a fitter) and hit them all and decide based on feel, results, etc.  However, for many, this option may not be readily available so they rely on internet sites, word of mouth, etc.

All club companies websites give a brief explanation of what each particular iron style fits a common group of player. Unfortunately for the consumer, it is still difficult to decide on iron type based on a description.  An idea would be to show a 3-D iron with superimposed golf ball dimple patterns (approximately 5 dimple patterns) that would allow the player to compare their variations.  As an example, the AP1 would have dimple patterns near the toe, heel, high on the face, low on the face, etc., implying that player is not consistent enough and would need the AP1 for forgiveness on the primarily off-center hits.  The MB would probably show all 5 shots fairly centered.

Under the Titleist fitting webpage, Step 3 "Length" is an ideal example of an iron with dimple patterns.  Just take that information and list the 4 model irons and give a visual example of what type of player should be playing what type of iron.

    Hope this helps.
